KIRK SEUFERT
Having spent much of his childhood in
several states and different countries,
artist Kirk Seufert brings a great deal of
world experience to his art.
While he is drawn to natural hues and
elements, including metals and glass, Kirk
also finds interest in the natural
deterioration of man-made structures and
objects, often bringing his self-taught
faux-finishing techniques to a wide range
of abstract paintings and sculpture.
“Because my interests are so broad, I find
it difficult to pinpoint what inspires me, or
to accurately articulate what I’m seeking
to create in my paintings. However, I do
aspire to generate an emotion in the
viewer, then that 'need for a closer look'
for contemplating the possible existence
of any imagery which invites
interpretation.
